Aloha Everyone! We just got back from our Seattle and Alaska Tour. Here are pictures from our trip!

Our First day we went to Pike's market place. Here I pay homage to the first ever Starbucks store where it all began.

The kids and I find various pigs all over the city. It seems to be the symbol of the market and they had them decorated in different ways.

We pay a visit to our friend Dave Wight who is a fabulous glass artist. We watch him work in the studio then visit his home in Bellingham.

From there it was boat rides, campfires and wonderful dinners spent in his Bellingham home.

After his visit we boarded the ship and sailed off to Alaska.

We were met by our art directors Gina and Stephan and their friends Troy and Gary. We shared many fabulous meals.

Glen the Food and Beverage Director, Mauritz the ships purser and Jonathan the resident entertainer all joined us and made our experience wonderful.

Jim Warren and I demonstrated our art techniques for the ships passengers and held art auctions

I even got help from Gina with a painting of the Aurora Borealis! Look how much fun she had!

Rich and His wife bought several paintings, one of which he had been eyeing for a special place in his home.

This wonderful couple bought one of the Cave seascape demonstrations of Kauai I had done. The sunset was a welcoming site. They titled their painting "Eternal Love"

This couple bought not one, not two but three paintings at the auction! They loved the presentation that Princess provides for their passengers. Here they are with their painting "Timeless Moments".

Patti and I took a helicopter ride to the Mendenhall Glacier. What a mind blowing experience that was!

This Glacier is hundreds of feet thick and miles long. I felt like I was experiencing the Ice Age and got plenty of new inspiration for future paintings.

Our family took a train excursion through the mountains of Canada. The ride was awe inspiring and breathtaking!

Pictures will never do the experience justice. What they do is offer us a memory of what spectacular scenery we saw.

The highlight of the tour was going through Tracy Arm Fjord. It was everything I thought Alaska would be and more.

Here is a shot of one of the scenes I had painted. The ice had receded back quite a ways from the photograph I used for the model.

In the distance you can see the Glacier carving out the mountains. It was a life changing experience seeing the beauty of this untamed wilderness.

We were fortunate enough to view the scenery from the Captains personal balcony and the bridge which few people get to see.

Look at this shot I took from the Bridge. We were out on the side of the ship getting an unobstructed view. I get the chills just thinking about it.

Sonja kept me warm during the whole ride.

Our last excursion was a seaplane ride to the Salmon hatchery and the Bears who fed on them.

The ladies did quite well with the ride. I got a little queasy...

Once there we got to watch the re locals in action. We were able to get very close to the whole thing.

This is what they were looking for. These salmon spent five years in the ocean and found their way back to the hatchery.

We headed back to the ship via the plane and had salmon for lunch, yummy!

We had one last meal in Victoria B.C., at a Greek restaurant with the fellas and the ladies.

We head back to the ship to pack for the next day, good times!

Here are some of the paintings I did on board the ship inspired by the scenery of Alaska

After the cruise we spent one day in Seattle where I made an appearance at the Wyland Galleries Northwest in Seattle and painted on location. Here I am with Denton, the owner, and Kelly the manager.

Randy bought the first demonstration painting I did for this gallery. Rose was there for support!

These folks bought the first print displayed "Essence oF Paradise" at the Gallery.
Thanks for visiting the site! Next stop Wyland Galleries SF Pier 39 Labor Day Weekend. See you soon!
