Pop art has been around for over 50 years and was made famous by the late Andy Warhol. Its approach is very graphic using contemporary subject matter. I find it a very refreshing series for me to paint and gives me a diversion from the very serious and methodical style of the traditional classical realism I do. | The "Hula Girl" is a brand new series for me. It started out with the Madame Pele piece, then went to Firewomen and next Fantasy women. It is a branch of my figurative work that has been a growing part of my portfolio. This audience has been very supportive for this series and not necessarily a fan of my normal work which has allowed me to be a different type of artist. | ||
