Earlier this year my father Edgardo F. Garcia came to my studio and created some beautiful paintings.  Nowadays its a rare treat to spend time with him painting like the good old days when I was studying under him.  We has so much fun and I was honored that he would get to paint at my easel.  Here are some of the pictures he worked on.

This painting is based on the East side of Oahu's Kaneohe Bay.  Out in the middle of the ocean exists a beautiful sand bar where in low tide people gather to lounge around the shallow waters.  The front part of the painting boasts a beautiful un kept garden variety of floral you would find in such an exotic location.  This melody of color and nature is the trademark of my fathers work.

"Garden Bay" 24x36 oil

This painting is similar to the first painting but the coastline is more rugged than the first.  There is a wonderful contrast between the delicate flowers in the foreground and the jagged rocks in the background.  The other contrast is the Bright oranges against the faded blues.  I always admired my father for his clever use of contrasts in his paintings which always taught me so much in my own work.

This Gorgeous Flower is a delicate melody of pink, peach  and turquoise.  A designers dream painting.  24x30 oil

This painting boasts vibrant oranges and deep greys.  My father's color sense never ceases to amaze me.  24x30 oil
