Just recently, John Pitre and I went flying above the coastline of Molokai looking for inspiration for our upcoming collaboration. Actually we needed any excuse to take a ride in his helicopter! We took some outrageous views of the North shore of Molokai. Check them out!

As we leave Oahu we take the Pali route over the south end of the island to see if we can spot any hang gliders or whales. We don't see either but here is a gorgeous shot from above.

Here is the first piece of land you see when you reach the shores of Molokai. It is about 45 miles from Oahu and going about 110 mph we get there in 20 minutes.

Here is a spot john wants to examine. The point where the grass ends has an ancient heiau. We carefully pick a safe spot to land without disrespecting the sacred area.

Here we step on land that few will ever get to be on. There is an ancient village directly above where we stand. Who knows what life was like for the early inhabitants of the land. One thing is for sure, they had a spectacular view of the coast.

After some picture taking we fly again. The perspective and view give us a feeling of a bird in flight.

A closer look at the waterline and we discover some un ridden waves. Maybe we'll bring our surfboards on the the next trip!

Alas, all good things must come to an end. Here is the sunset we catch on the way back from the trip. Hope you enjoyed the ride. look for my upcoming video of Molokai!
