Aloha Everyone!  Here it is the first show of the new year and what a wonderful way to start off!  I am pictured with Todd, Cathy, Tessa and Ian with their on the spot commission of a green flash with Kaena point in the background.  This was the first time I had ever been asked to paint this hard to spot phenomenon.  I was surprised at first but then stepped up to the challenge.  Because this picture was taken from my cell phone, the quality is a bit low but look for it on my 2008 originals page.

This is what I thought the original commission was going to be and I painted it anyways.  Tessa liked what she saw and ended up buying this painting as well!  It just goes to show you that iof you paint what's in your heart it will find it's audience.

I gave a gift with purchase of the two brushstrokes.  One hibiscus and one wave.  Look for this promotion to make a comeback.

This family came by to take a picture with their "Peace and Security" painting.  A very popular painting with a theme that's never going out of style!

This gentleman also owns "Peace and Security" in the larger sold out edition.  He ended up purchasing the painting shown here.  I am sure this will look even better when he gets back home to Michigan.  He knows this beach very intimately and can imagine walking the shores.

Bill came by to watch and fell in love with this gem of a river painting he called "Quiet Peace in The Valley".  He already has a volcano painting called "The Lights That Shine".  This will be a very good keepsake of the islands wherever he decides to go.

Lisa was a friend and co worker of Bill's.  She decided to take the plunge and get this glowing lava painting.  It spoke to her which is the number one thing you should consider when looking at art!

Judy happened to be watching the show and is also an artist herself.  She watched me paint for a while and had to leave to get her husband so he could watch also.  She then decided to get this oil I was working on.   There's no bigger compliment than an artist buying a painting!  Thanks Judy!

This gentleman came in late with his friends from Ohio and was going home the next day.  He wanted something to take back with him.  He ended up getting the number one of the 16x20 size of this future limited edition called "Island Paradise".  Look for it very soon!

Also a big mahalo to Aaron who added to his collection by getting "Wild Child" lava woman. He loves the passionate form of woman portrayed in the lava style.  What an awesome show, thanks to all the collectors who support the arts!
