The Art of Walfrido book

After 28 years of painting I finally put together a coffee table book! This book is 100 pages of past and present work. The foreword is written by Wyland, the chapter introductions are written by Chad Pata and the painting stories are written by me which makes it really easy to read! Here are some pictures taken from the book.

Here I am in Santa Barbara during the early years participating in a street fair on State Street. Till this day I am still demonstrating in public with a lot less hair!

Here is a picture of my parents Edgardo and Florecita Garcia. It was through their Love, support, guidance and encouragement that I was able to full fill my dreams of becoming an artist!

Here is a picture of our family in 1973 when we first moved to the Bay Area in a small town called Milpitas. Can you guess which one was me?

Here is a picture of my first all artists show circa 1992 in Hawaii with James Coleman and John Pitre. It was and still is a great pleasure hanging around with these talented and gifted artists. Not much has changed except I don't tuck in jean shirts any more.

Here is a picture of Wyland and I when I was the first artist introduced in his Maui 711 front street gallery. I in turn introduce him to the clear handle brush which he still uses today. This was in 1993.
There are a lot of pictures of my work and the personally written stories about the paintings. The book is published by My Publisher and there is a link to get to it.
