Maui front Street Show 5-09

Aloha everyone!  I am back from my May Maui art night show.  I am so glad that I live close enough to pop by and by to meet folks and celebrate art.  These collectors bought "Warmth of The Sun".  Welcome to the family!

The front street gallery has the best view looking out into the ocean with the sun setting behind us.  Check out the series of shots as a sailboat passes by the setting sun.

As Cliché as it is you can never get tired of seeing this scene.  As they say here "Lucky you live Hawaii".

Here is one of the recent paintings in a frame style 32 that brought over for the show.  I really like the cherry wood outer.  It pulls my favorite burgundy colors out.

Look at this fun piece.  I did a sunset wave on a koa paddle.  This was the first one I every tried.  I love the presentation and know that I will be doing more.

These folks bought "The Morning After"  It's only appropriate that the picture is a little fuzzy as we had a humdinger the night before.

These folks picked up "Divine Creation".  This composition is one of my favorites and it is now theirs!

These folks picked up "Cause and Effect".  This giant volcano painting will fit nicely in their home back east.  There was one catch.  I have to do brushstroke of their dogs.  No problem!

These ladies have fun watching as I demonstrate my painting techniques.  It's a blast hanging out in the galleries!

These folks got "Island Paradise".  Who can't resist a sun setting with mountains, palm trees and the light going through the wave.

Taryn got her favorite painting "Sunset Window".  These frames are especially designed to look like a window.  Taryn is also an artist an I am a fan!

These folks picked up "Maui Memories".  Although they got it when I wasn't there, Mahalo anyways.  I love seeing who will get the paintings.

After the show the gallery crew celebrate with a couple, um I mean several beers and shots.  Good thing the hotel was walking distance.  It's always nice to hang out and unwind after an event!

The next day Steve and Debbie Fake invited me up to their Maui place to have brunch.  Here they point out their first Walfrido.  There's no shame in having more than one.

After feeing the starving artist I head back out to spend the rest of the day with the family.  Thanks for checking out the website and see you at the next show in Haleiwa at the end of the month. Aloha!
