Lake Tahoe, Sarasota and Key West Tour 3-2009

Aloha everyone! What a long month it has been. It started off with a visit to Lake Tahoe to do a show with David Wight. Here I am taking a moment to see the last light as it dips beyond the snow.

Saturday morning before the show we head to the backside of Heavenly to do a half day. Here I am on the lift with David and Mackenzie. My brother Deen also joined us.

Its been at least 10 years since I last hit the slopes. We snap shots before heading down.

I follow Dave, Deen and Mackenzie down the hill. Years ago I would be the first one down, now I have to follow everyone taking in the view.

After the morning runs I paint and finish this beautiful day scene. Last week I run into these folks on Maui, this week they found a piece that spoke to them.
Mahalo!

This series of Lake Tahoe has been really successful. These folks got the red skies Lake Tahoe painting. Right after the show I head off to Sarasota Florida...

Sarasota was humming with snowbirds. As I took this picture, it was in the 30's everywhere up north.

These folks picked up a sunset painting from my koa series. They found the magic and charm irresistible from the collaboration of nature as I did.

These folks picked up one as well! This series was well received.

This painting was adopted and will find a great home in Canada. It should give loads of inspiration.

These folks had a painting from a while back and ran into me at the show. That happens quite a bit and gives me great pleasure knowing their art has been an inspiration to them for all these years.

These folks found "The Morning After" truly a joy.

These folks had a space ready above their bed and commissioned me to do a painting with similar colors found in this painting.

These folks already owned a painting and saw this gorgeous original. What a treat it was for all of us to spend time at the show!

Bob and Liz dressed to the nines! right before heading out to a charity event they stopped by to say hi. They also invited me to have breakfast at their wonderful home!

Mandy owns 4 prints and finally found an oil to call her own. Here we pose with the beautiful moonlight.

Here I get help from Casie and Matt for their painting. He proposed to her at a beach in St. Augustine and I suggested that I paint it for them.

Here we pose for the finished painting. What a great time we had watching it all being created. I loved being part of their story!

Julie had a "Soft" spot for her koa painting. It was fashioned after her tattoo!

She also picked up one of the collaborations from Steve Barton and I called "Dreams of Romance"! After a week of painting there I head of to Key West.

Nothing like going from one gorgeous place to another! here was the first place I went to get inspired.

"The Morning After" found its fans with it's beautiful colors. This couple commissioned this painting for themselves.

The biggest hits of the shows was my "Simple Series". This gorgeous full moon over the waters drew a great deal of attention. It was picked up by these folks who already had my work as well as my fathers paintings!

Dave and Jemee found these two paintings beautiful. After speaking with them we hit it off and I made them a deal that "They couldn't refuse"!

Jim, Susie and Their New born Catherine found a painting to call their own. The very first Koa Dock Scene! They also got "The Morning After" as well!

This couple picked up "The State of Grace". What a great little painting this is to start their collection.

Once again the simple series strikes again! The Ames' bought not one but two of them. They couldn't decide between the two. Mahalo!

Mrs. Mauer bought this painting to compliment her lava piece. She also got a hand painted rainbow martini glass. What a great dichotomy!

Steven and Betsy found this "Simple Series" a joy. I couldn't believe how much attention this painting was getting. In a world of chaos, less is more. People liked the calming waters with light shining on it!

After the week was done I went sailing courtesy of Mark aka "Bird"! He used to work in the gallery but now we are just cruising!

The views were spectacular and filled me with future paintings.

I came back later to this young couple from Naples. They picked up Peace and Security, my cornerstone painting. All has sold out but this size.

Here are the three amigo's I ran with. I bet they are glad I went home! Eric and T.A proudly shows off my first set of hand painted Martini Glasses.

Look for more of these to come!

All work and no play makes all of us dull boy's. Time to judge a bull riding contest. The winner is.....

Everyone! Thanks for checking out my tour. See you on the next stop, Orlando!
