Carmel 8-09 Show

Aloha Everybody! Here are my travel photos from my Carmel tour. I love this area. My father used to take us here when we were young and I enjoyed looking at art galleries and visiting the Monterey wharf and Carmel area.

David Wight and I shared the show dates and here we are grabbing a bite to eat right before the show. Nothing like fueling up so you are ready to show and tell. Besides it's not nice going to a show as the starving artist.

The next weekend is my 25th year class reunion but I will be in Europe at the time. I get an early visit from David Hunter, a classmate from back in High School. I haven't seen him in over 25 years. We quickly caught up thanks to Face book!

Lynne also paid me a visit. She and her family look great. I can't believe how fast time has flown. I must say it does fly when you are having fun!

These folks dropped by and found a painting that they liked. It will go nicely in their collection. Welcome to the Family!

Here we pose with the gallery staff. Those who play together, stay together. We certainly did our share of playing....

My long time friends came down and we had dinner at my favorite place in Carmel, Luca. I've known these guys since elementary and middle school. Pictured here are David Wight, Belinda Lew, Dave Lagman, his wife Lulu, Maria Lagman and Ricardo. I will be seeing them in Hawaii soon.

Look here. I was happy to run into my new friend Whitney in the restaurant. Needless to say it was great seeing her since the last time I did was on the Australia Cruise. She told her mom Lynn and brother Jared whom I also have had the pleasure of cruising with. We will see them tomorrow. What a small town Carmel is...

Here we are the next day visiting Lynn. She was quite gracious opening her beautiful home to our party. We toured the estate which is walking distance from the clubhouse on Pebble Beach.

Since I am on my way to Europe, the architecture of her home was a feast for my eyes. I like the arches and am in the process of painting a new "Window" series. Keep an eye out for it.

Lenny and Laura pose for a picture in the beautiful front garden. Nice place to call home.

Here is my display in Carmel as well as some oils I painted during the show. The koa series continues to sell well as do the signature series.

The best thing about doing shows in this area is I get to visit my mom and dad. Dad wasn't feeling well but now he is much better. He is still painting and continues to live in Modesto. I am off to Europe! Thanks for visiting and see you at the next stop Rome in 24 hours!
